Leyuan, as the founding partner, co-founded JIXU Architects, and has presided over the design of a number of architectural and interior design projects, including hotels, offices, retail, etc. He is also assistant professor in Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University.

Before the formal establishment of JIXU Architects, Leyuan had worked in world top architectural design companies such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Buro Ole Schereen. He had many years of design experience and participated in projects covering all scales from interior to architecture to urban design. Leyuan has worked on the design of many urban landmark projects. He has a global vision, and is in line with the international first-class design.

In addition, Leyuan continuously participated in teaching in various institutions including short-term teaching in Tsinghua University summer school in 2018 and Beijing Forestry University summer school in 2019 and long-term teaching in multiple studios, such as Needle Studio, Invision, J’Studio.

Leyuan graduated from the world’s oldest architecture school, AA School of Architecture, which ranks among the top ten majors in global architecture master program – AADRL. His research interests are parametric design and digital construction.

Yawen, as the founding partner, co-founded JIXU Architects, and has presided over the design of a number of interior design projects, including hotels, offices, retail, etc.

Before the formal establishment of JIXU Architects, Yawen had worked in world top architectural design company MAD as chief interior designer. She has participated in many major projects from conceptual design to completion, and has rich experience in design and construction in practice.

Yawen has many years of design teaching experience, her students were later studying in many world top universities, such as UAL, UCL, etc.

Yawen received her master’s degree from Spatial & Interior Design program of UAL, her Bachelor’s Degree from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.
